This term, we have been looking at the story of Theseus and the Minotaur. The ancient Greeks created many mythical creatures that were often based upon being part human. Next week, we will be creating a non-chronological report based upon a mythical creature that the children have created themselves. This creature needs to be part human and part beast. For homework, we will be giving the children a piece of paper to design their own creature. Whilst drawing the creature, the pupils may want to consider special powers or behaviours that their creature may have. Consideration might also be given to where the creature originates from, why it came to be and where it might live.
To prepare for the week ahead, we would also like the children to research the features of a non-chronological report and write a short piece about the main featuresto stick in their books.
The children need to bring in their homework on paper this week and not post on the blog.
